I'm a LumberJack and that's O.K.

If you need a jack of all trades, don't call me. I'm more of a Jack of a couple trades. Today I was a jack of lumber...I mean lumberjack. I've cut a few trees over the years, some at Doe River, some in Costa Rica, and one nasty one behind The Well house. All in all, I enjoy it, and today was even better because Randy and I actually got paid, or we will when we finish.

We were asked to take down 3 large trees, 60 footers, and the remains of another tree that fell form high winds. Actually, 2 black locusts and an evergreen covered in English and Poison ivy. We had a fairly productive day with only a couple interuptions and a couple close calls. We were working in a confined space; we had to dodge the house, a shed, and a lovely rosh bush. All three were well within the reach of the trees. What did we do? Well, we strapped on the climbing spikes and hitched up the tree. After a few precise cuts I dropped the stump and cut it to the ground, and then I topped off the first big tree. I wish I could say I wanted the top half a the tree to land within a foot of the shed, but honestly, that was a little closer than I was comfortable watching. Hey, but a near miss is still a miss, right? That's what I always say, or at least I will from now on.

At the end of the day, we cut a 60 foot locust and a 12 foot stump of a locust all the way to the ground. After we cleaned up and dumped the brush (and got the Landrover stuck in Cow manuer-all four wheels a spinning), we finished the day with some sushi with the ladies. Not a bad day.

Oh, and even better than lumberjacking, Beth and I heard our kid's heartbeat today. Awesome! Who knew a six millemeter bean had a heartbeat. Not a bad day at all!

-well alright-

Hahahaaha, cool. You know, Ross always refered to out early ultrasound kids as peanuts. Hahaha. Isn't that the coolest thing in the world though? Just out of curiousity, what dr. is she seeing?

I had both Bergen and Perrin at Specialty. Cashion was born here in Doha. I wasn't such a fan of Dr. Lewis but he was way better than Dr. Sintell! That woman had problems. Is she still there? You do not ever want a vaginal exam from Dr. Looney..hahahaha,he has HUGE hands and it hurts. Both births there were awesome. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is really great! Man, believe it or not I really miss pregnancy, labor, delivery and infants :( Good luck! And enjoy being pregnant, all three of mine were good and fun pregnancies :)
