For Fear of Killing Lisa..

It's not that Beth and I haven't been busy, we have, it's the fact that our lives just don't seem as exotic these days. I could tell you how I spent two days digging out a stump last week, but that would just prove my point would it not. Coincidently, I think that digging out a stump by hand is a valuable experience. Patience, persistance, and a good excuse to swing an ax. I love chopping wood with an ax.

Last weekend was cool though, I made a new PR (personal record) for a 5k when I ran the Covered Bridge race. Even better, Beth ran her slowest 5k, but the baby ran it's first race ever. We also heard the baby's heartbeat again on Friday. It was about 150b/m. FYI my resting heartrate is around 45-50, I told you that for no other reason than I think it's cool. Sometimes I go to Walmart only so I can sit in the automatic bloodpressure machine and see how low my heart rate is. One time it registered as 00.

Sunday was a first for me, I took part in a funride called Pedalfest. My brother in law and I rode our road bikes with about 100 others from Dowtown Elizabethton all the way to the Watauga Dam, very steep, and then down through the valley. It ended up being about a 30 mile loop, I was exhausted and my thighs were throbbing, but it was worth it and I'll probably do it again.

Apart from that, I'm trying to get together some shirts to sell this weekend. I'd give you details but this www is a shady place. I'll just say I think I'm on to a real good thing.

-well alright-

first off, when John said that "sometimes" when he is in walmart he checks his blood pressure and pulse. More like everytime he is anywhere near one of those machines he has to sit down and get his pulse, it is really funny to watch him too. he sits there all still, taking deep breaths trying to relax himself so that he can get his heart rate the lowest possible.
one time in hawaii, we were going somewhere and where running late, we had to stop off at a drug store, and i am running around trying to find what we need quickly and there is john getting his resting heart rate. it still makes me grimace when i think about it.

beth - can't you just bring a thing home and let him have it so he can do it to himself whenever/wherever he wants...that way he doesn't do it when he should be helping do something else....hahahahahahah

Hahahaha, that's too funny beth. I surprised he's not asking you to take it for him all the time :)
