Two's Day

1. The other day James Hatfield of Metallica ate at the restaurant I valet at. It was awesome. I couldn't believe it, he was right there in front of me. I would have asked for his autograph, but I couldn't speak. Then a couple days later Irving "Magic" Johnson dined at our fine establishment. I wasn't working, but I could feel the electricity of such an amazing athlete drifting through the air even a day later. It doesn't stop there, Theresa Hines Kerry was there also. I was in the midst of one of the wealthiest women in the world-INCREDIBLE.

2. I think it's rediculous when people go nuts over seeing or meeting celebritities. What a waste of time and energy!

do you IM? it's so weird to see your comments that are posted one minute before i see them...i know you're online at the same time, but can't talk to you. I guess i've gotten spoiled :)

what's up with the job? do you know what you're doing/where you're goin and when you're leaving? Murph was talking to someone about you this weekend. Buffalo Mtn camp is looking for a camp director for this summer. it's a Methodist camp, that's all i know.

I don't IM, no reason though. I know Buffalo Mt., I've got friends who have worked there. If I'm going to be that close to home, I'd would really only work at DRG.

I just had an interview today with Patagonia SLC, Utah. I also sent in an application to a wilderness therapy program in SLC. When I get home I'm going to sit down with Ryan at Doe River and talk about details about the OE spot they want to create.

dude, you rock. I can't believe you didn't ask for James Hatfield's autograph, hell even just to shake his hand!

I'm still looking on the job thing for ya. What kind of salary range (minimum) are you looking at? This is my problem. I'm seeing some things but they salary is low. They're geared mostly towards third worlders in South East Asia etc. I haven't really found anything yet in Europe.

Did someone say.. Matthew McConoughey..::sigh::

It is fun to meet people that everyone knows but I really don't understand the whole "flipping out" thing that people do.
Tim and I have had some cool opportunities to hang out with some of the best baseball people around, through our friend that played in the MLB. Like, (just to rub it in, even though I know you hate traditional sports).... hanging out in the club house with the San Diego Padres after they won the national league series championship, we got covered in champagne and got to see professional athletes half naked! That experience is only tied with riding on the NY Yankees team bus in the middle of NY City behind a police escort with Joe Torre, Andy Petite, Derek Jeter and all the rest, honestly the only thing I was amazed with was how big(physically) those dudes are!

Ok..I gotta admit it's pretty cool to have witnessed and taken part in the afterparty of the National League Series.

And Phillip - it seems like I remember you doing that same thing when we first met. HA

working on the hill is like that sometimes--we have all the brass over for our hearings. Rumsfeld made me share my diet dr pepper with him once ;oP and Clinton helped me up when a capitol police officer and i collided around a corner one day. its so wierd! i bought cough medicine once in a convenience store with Dale Earnhart Jr. we both had the flu and there was only one box of theraflu left so we split it, and sat and talked about how sick we were feeling---i didn't even know who the heck he was till like a month later when i saw his pic! ha!

I still don't think anyone can top eating next to Mel Gibson at IHOP, or having Robin Williams bless the baby in your womb. Both happened to me!
