"What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.” ~ Albert Pine
What if I had heard this when I was younger, would I have listened? Probably not, as I was too busy thinking about myself.

J.T,
You are wise beyond your years. I never had any doubts that you would grow up to be a godly man ;)
JT - don't worry about what would've been different if you would've heard that earlier. The better question to ask is, now that you have heard it, what does it mean to you going forward? ;)
Does that mean i get a good back massage when I get off work today?
there is no way you or anyone would have heeded those words when you were younger. Being selfish when you are young is a given but character building. What you do with and how you apply those lessons you learn along the way into adulthood is what matters. Unlike some peope I know, as Lisa said, "you are wise beyond your years."
I would have like to heard it when I was younger! As a matter of fact, I liked hearing it now- even in my old age!
Your actions and experiences earlier in life gives all the more depth and meaning to those words now. So true they are.
I can't resist. I'm pretty sure you heard something like it whn you were younger ;-)
That's funny. You know, Steve, you're probably right, now that I think about it.
